Within hours of learning about a positive COVID-19 test result yesterday in a staff member at the Rochester office, we successfully relocated onsite staff to a remote work environment.
We are working with the Monroe County Department of Health and are following their guidance on contact tracing and re-opening of the building.
- The Department of Health has begun their contact tracing process of those who are considered exposed. An exposure is when an individual spent more than 15 minutes unmasked and less than six feet apart from an individual with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Please email Michael Sciortino as soon as possible if you were on-site between Monday, 10/19 through Wednesday, 10/28. Be sure to indicate which days you were in the building and areas that you were in (example – Bistro, conference room, restrooms, etc.) in the email.
- Staff who worked onsite at 250 Thruway Park Drive who are concerned about their health should proactively get a COVID test. eHealth Technologies will cover the cost of your test if you do not have health insurance. Contact Michelle Halloran for more information. The following link will guide to a testing location near you: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you.
- Employees who had previously been working onsite are welcome to return to the building on Monday, Nov. 2 after presenting a negative COVID test result to Michelle Halloran and coordinating their return with their supervisor.
- Employees who had previously been working onsite, who do not receive a COVID test, and who are not experiencing symptoms, may return to the building starting on Monday, November 9.
A thorough cleaning and disinfection of the building is underway in accordance with CDC cleaning recommendations.
It will continue to be our practice to inform you of any potential COVID exposures the same day that we are notified. If you have questions, contact any member of the executive leadership team or your direct supervisor.
