Hello team,
We’d like to take this opportunity to celebrate recent team member promotions and new hires – congratulations on your continued success, and welcome to eHealth Technologies! On behalf of the executive team, we want to thank you all for your leadership and wish you continued success in your new roles as we advance the delivery of life-altering care, together.
Congratulations on Your Promotion!
Sara Sharrow, promoted from Customer Service Specialist IV to Assistant Manager
Sara Sharrow has been with our eHealth Technologies family for the past three and a half years, most previously serving as a Customer Service Specialist IV. In her new role as Assistant Manager for City of Hope, Team 12A, she will be responsible for helping her manager execute daily duties as well as managing the team while fostering a successful work environment.
Sara is most looking forward to having a larger role in helping our patients get the treatment that they need. Coaching and communication are the areas in which she thrives, and sharing ideas on how to make the team and company better are very important to her.
Her advice to colleagues looking to advance in their careers? “Be a sponge! Listen and learn. Ask questions. Find people who are willing to share their wealth of knowledge and collaborate with them. Be present in the office. I truly believe that working in the office is a great way to make yourself seen. This will also show that you are willing to go above and beyond for our patients.”
Congratulations, Sara!
Welcome to the Team!
Matt Mihelcic, Azure Systems Administrator
Matt Mihelcic joins the eHealth Technologies family as our newest Azure Systems Administrator in our Pittsburgh office. He previously served as a Director of IT for a Department of Defense Contractor, and prior to that served as a Network and System Engineer for a managed service provider. In his new role on our infrastructure team, Matt will be responsible for supporting hardware and software solutions for the company as well as providing technical assistance in managing and maintaining the 24/7 production environment with a focus on the Azure Systems. He will also be planning and implementing new infrastructure to accommodate our organization’s continuous growth and collaborate with our Security Team to implement various security objectives.
His past roles in network and systems administration have served him well and will position him for success in his new role. He has built IT infrastructures from the ground up for healthcare providers and spent many years developing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft’s cloud solutions and Azure family of products. His experience in the healthcare and government sectors has allowed him to develop knowledge and skills in security, which will lend well to his new role.
“I am really looking forward to working with a great team of individuals and applying my knowledge, as well as continuously growing while making an impact on those we serve,” says Matt.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his three children (he has coached their baseball and softball teams for the last 20 years!), playing guitar and singing in a local band, and watching old movies.
Welcome to the team, Matt!
Erin Wood, Director of Clinical Workflows and Integration
Erin Wood brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to eHealth Technologies, most recently serving as a clinical informatics nurse at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh where she assisted nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff to best utilize their electronic health record (EHR), Epic. She is a nurse by trade with experience working on various cardiac units and has also been a research study coordinator for a gastroenterologist.
In her new role as Director of Clinical Workflows and Integration – a brand new role for the company – Erin will be shaping this role to best fit the needs of our customers and her fellow team members.
“I’m hoping to bring my knowledge of both the clinical and IT spaces of the healthcare field to optimize current workflows and provide insights on how to best serve our customers here at eHealth Technologies,” says Erin. In her years as a nurse, Erin was always taught to think critically – and as a nurse informaticist, she was motivated to use those skills to find solutions to digital problems, using her talents to optimize workflows, promote patient safety, and increase provider satisfaction by leveraging information technology.
In her spare time, Erin loves to travel the world with her husband, Nick, coining herself a “compulsive travel planner”, hoping to return to Japan next spring. She has a 7-year-old goldendoodle named Moose (pictured below). A fun fact about Erin is that she was a performer at Walt Disney World from 2010-2013. So, if you were traveling during that time and met either Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty, chances are you’ve already crossed paths with her!
Welcome to the team, Erin!
Brian O’Neill, Manager of Operations Training/Development & Quality Assurance
Brian O’Neill is our new Manager of Operations Training/Development & Quality Assurance in our Pittsburgh office! Brian most recently served the same role for AT&T’s USA and Philippines division and previously served in a similar role for IBEX Global. In his new role at eHealth Technologies, Brian will be responsible for identifying production and training needs, developing and implementing new and recurring training programs and assessing the effectiveness of those programs, welcoming new hires by managing and building the onboarding process and building and maintaining strong relationships with his colleagues.
His past work experiences have taught him to sincerely listen to his team members and act on their ideas and suggestions with true integrity while being intuitive and open-minded to everyone’s contributions and learning from others. He sees this as the key to any team’s success.
“I am excited and looking forward to many new challenges and opportunities while interacting with my new team members,” says Brian.
In his spare time, Brian like to play the drums, listen to music, read, collect antique Irish history books, and share the Irish language, history, and culture with others.
Welcome to the team, Brian!
Let’s show our team members some appreciation and support by dropping them congratulatory and welcome notes via email or Teams message. Every positive action has the ability to brighten someone’s day!
If you are interested in learning more about opportunities to advance in your career at eHealth Technologies, we encourage you to speak with your manager at your next 1:1 meeting.
